New P3 owner in USA: Help with Motor?
First, I apologize for not being able to ask my questions in German.
I now own a 1962 or 1963 Taunus 17M TS P3 and today I started the motor for the first time. I have verified that I have oil pressure at the threaded port on the motor (40psi) , but there is no oil going up and into the cylinder head through the metal tube.
what may be the reason no oil is reaching the cylinder head?
picture of the oil feed that has no oil coming from it.

Hello Spank,
first thank you for the video of the first rebirth It sounds not bad.
If you see oil pressure of 40 psi (for us Germans nearly 3 bar) for me it shows that the oil pump is working.
The problem can be either that the tube is obstructed (old oil) or twistet or the seal at the lower part of the tube is damaged.
What kind of oil did you use?
Regads
Wolfgang

Thank you for the responses.
I removed 19 and 21 to investigate and indeed have them. When I try to lift and rotate the tube, I can feel that part 20 is in position. I can push the tube down and feel the rubber, and when I try to pull the tube out, I can feel resistance as if the rubber seal is pressed onto the end of tube. I am concerned that if I pull up on the tube the rubber will come off and will remain inside the engine.
